    Magformers as the educational tool for the 7th Sejong Science High School Mathematics Festival



    The 3D educational magnetic toy, MAGFORMERS of Magformers Inc. (CEO Keeyoung Park), said its 3D magnetic educational tool, “Magformers,” will be used as an educational tool at the upcoming 7th Sejong Math Festival, which opens on July 14th and runs through the 15th at Sejong Science High School in Seoul.

     
    Now it is 5th times with Magformers, the Sejong Math Festival encourages students to take an interest in the field of math and participate by picking a topic and explaining to the festival’s visitors their topic of choice and how it can be applied in real life.

     
    ‘Magformers' helps users realize their infinite imagination and creativity by transforming 2D shapes into 3D figures with magnetic properties. It enables users to their own customized sculptures from 2D shapes to 3D figures allowing for brain development and helps foster spatial perception, three dimensional thinking, reasoning, and mathematical and scientific thinking.


    In 2012 and 2013, Magformers earned the “Platinum” and “Gold Seal,” awards from the world's most prestigious consumer assessment agency, “Oppenheim Toy Portfolio’s”, respectively, and in 2014, it earned the “2014 Academic Choice Brain Toy Award,” and “2015 Family choice Awards” thereby displaying that Gymboree products are renowned not just in Korea, but worldwide, for their educational effectiveness and creativity.

     
    According to Gymboree Korea, “We are very happy that Magformers has been recognized for its educational effectiveness and has been used at the Sejong Science High School Math Festival since 2011. We hope to get even more people to experience the educational effects of Magformers for themselves in the future, and will work towards that goal.”
